With over five years of experience in school settings, both group and individual, and more than a year in private practice, Cedrice specializes in areas such as racial identity, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and trauma. She enjoys working with children and adolescents (elementary, middle, and high school ages), young adults, and adults. Her therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered techniques, multicultural methods, family systems, and other integrative therapy methods.
Cedrice believes that everyone has a story, and sometimes life can make our view of the world muddy or blurry. Her hope for her clients is to shine light in the dark spaces of their stories, helping them discover and feel empowered as they explore their authentic experiences.
Originally from Martinsburg, WV, Cedrice has always loved the mountains. She moved to Harrisonburg in the summer of 2018 to pursue her master’s degree in school counseling. During her time as a school counselor, she has run the Black Student Union, exposing students to rich history and self-expression while helping them amplify their voices at school and in the community. In her spare time, Cedrice enjoys hiking and exploring with her husband, Cole, and their dog, Lady Mae
