Katrina Didot, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of diverse experience in the mental health field. She earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Messiah College, completing her major coursework through a collaborative program with Temple University’s School of Social Work. She went on to receive her Master of Social Work from the Catholic University of America. Katrina’s career spans a wide range of settings, including hospitals, correctional facilities, in-home services, and international work in Guatemala. She has provided intensive therapeutic support to families and children at risk of foster care placement, conducted home studies and counseling for international adoptions, and served as a school social work counselor in an international school. Her work also includes counseling victims of violent crimes in Washington, D.C., and providing hospice care.
Katrina specializes in couples counseling, adoption-related support, individual and family therapy, life transitions, anxiety, depression, cross-cultural concerns, and more. She works with clients aged 18 and older, including young adults, adults, and older adults. Her clinical approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Theory, with an emphasis on short-term, solution-focused work. She also integrates Internal Family Systems and draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, tailoring her methods to meet each client’s unique needs. Katrina is deeply committed to helping individuals find healing and renewal, using a wide array of therapeutic tools developed over decades of practice.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Katrina brings a culturally sensitive lens to her work. She views each client holistically, considering their social relationships, spirituality, physical health, and lifestyle. Her passion for fostering connection is evident not only in her clinical work but also in her personal life. A former restaurant owner for 20 years, she enjoys using her entrepreneurial spirit to help clients reframe challenges and discover new possibilities. Katrina lives with her husband of over 30 years and is the proud adoptive mother of two adult children. In her free time, she loves gardening, exploring new ideas and places, and cooking. She finds deep joy in gathering people around her table, believing that meaningful connection often begins with a shared meal and heartfelt conversation.
